OVERVIEW

  • Aging aircraft issues and concerns have prompted personnel from the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to initiate an evaluation of a new commercial software package, FE-SAFE, from Safe Technology, Ltd.
  • The FE-SAFE software suite provides state-of-the-art fatigue analysis features designed to interface with many leading FEA products including ABAQUS, ANSYS, I-DEAS, Pro/Engineer, Pro/Mechanica, and Hypermesh.
  • Components for CATIA and NASTRAN are currently under development and are scheduled to be released later this year.
  • We invite ASC MSRC users to examine the software and provide feedback.
