FE-SAFE SOFTWARE EVALUATION RESOURCE PAGE

OVERVIEW
- Aging aircraft issues and concerns have prompted personnel from the
Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to
initiate an evaluation of a new commercial software package, FE-SAFE,
from Safe Technology, Ltd.
- The FE-SAFE software suite provides state-of-the-art fatigue analysis
features designed to interface with many leading FEA products including
ABAQUS, ANSYS, I-DEAS, Pro/Engineer, Pro/Mechanica, and Hypermesh.
- Components for CATIA and NASTRAN are currently under development and
are scheduled to be released later this year.
- We invite ASC MSRC users to examine the software and provide feedback.
- The evaluation period will run through January, 2001.
TRAINING
- A 2-day training event at the ASC MSRC training facility
has been scheduled for November 30-December 1, 2000.
- A total of 14 seats will be made available for participants
from outside of the sponsor organization.
- Registration information will soon be added to the
ASC MSRC Training Schedule Page.
USAGE NOTES
- Users must have an account on one of the SGI machines at the ASC MSRC.
